আইসিটি ওয়ার্ড নিউজ ডেস্ক: বাংলাদেশ কম্পিউটার সমিতির নির্বাচন ৯ মার্চ । তথ্যপ্রযুক্তি শিল্পের প্রধান বাণিজ্য সংগঠন বাংলাদেশ কম্পিউটার সমিতির (বিসিএস) ২০২৪-২৬ মেয়াদকালের জন্য নির্বাচনের তারিখ ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে। গত মঙ্গলবার (১৯ ডিসেম্বর) বিসিএসের নির্বাচন বোর্ড তফসিল ঘোষণা করে।
তফসিল অনুযায়ী আগামী বছরের ৯ মার্চ (শনিবার) কার্যকরী এবং শাখা কমিটির নির্বাচন অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। বুধবার (২০ ডিসেম্বর) এক প্রেস বিজ্ঞপ্তির মাধ্যমে নির্বাচনের বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করে বিসিএস।
বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে বলা হয়, ২০২৪-২৬ নির্বাচন বোর্ডের চেয়ারম্যান হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করবেন ওরা-টেক কনসালটিং লিমিটেডের ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক শেখ কবীর আহমেদ। তিন সদস্যের এই নির্বাচন বোর্ডের সদস্য হিসেবে আরও আছেন সাইবার কমিউনিকেশনের প্রধান কার্যনির্বাহী মো. নাজমুল আলম ভুঁইয়া (জুয়েল) এবং কম্পিউটার আর্কাইভস এর স্বত্বাধিকারী মো. আমির হোসেন।

বিসিএসের সাবেক সভাপতি এস.এম. ইকবালের নেতৃত্বে নির্বাচন আপিল বোর্ডে সদস্য হিসেবে রয়েছেন মেট্রোনেট বাংলাদেশ লিমিটেডের প্রধান কার্যনির্বাহী ও এফবিসিসিআইয়ের সাবেক পরিচালক সৈয়দ আলমাস কবির ও এডভান্সড কম্পিউটার টেকনোলজির(এসিটি) স্বত্বাধিকারী প্রকৌশলী চৌধুরী মো. আসলাম।
বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে আরও বলা হয়, ২০২৪ সালের ৩০ জানুয়ারি চূড়ান্ত ভোটার তালিকা প্রকাশ করা হবে। একই দিনে নির্বাচনের অংশগ্রহণের জন্য মনোনয়নপত্র আহ্বান করা হবে। ১৮ ফেব্রুয়ারি চূড়ান্ত প্রার্থী তালিকা প্রকাশ করা হবে।
খুলনা, রাজশাহী, সিলেট, চট্টগ্রাম, যশোর, বরিশাল, ময়মনসিংহ, কুমিল্লা, টাঙ্গাইল, রংপুর এবং কুষ্টিয়াতে বিসিএসের মোট ১১টি শাখা রয়েছে বলেও বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে জানানো হয়।
